SPANK will be representing hard at Pop Souk this Saturday!
Pop Souk is Ladyfag’s carefully curated daytime bazaar, and it is not to be missed.
At the Spank booth this Saturday, we’ll be premiering our SPANK artist series T-Shirts! These feature exclusive designs made for SPANK by some of our favorite artists. For the current series we have designs by Bubi Canal, Marcos Chin, Michael Magnan & Jacob Sperber. We will also be modeling and taking orders for our exclusive T-Shirt design for SPANK by Scooter LaForge. Sean and Will are going to be DJing at different points throughout the day, plus we’ll be selling back issues of SPANK zines, SPANK T-shirts, and Bitch & Tough.

Actions are always so over the top and ELEMENTAL was no exception! We kicked off with readings by Paul Ohan and Dale Peck and a performance by the amazing Jack Ferver. Paul Alexander and the House of XTRAVAGANZA brought it to the stage and then to the FLOOR with a live version of the soon to be released Elements of Vogue! Big Art Groups Visuals transformed DROM into a swirling mess of glowing elements. Yozmit brought music and Nicholas Gorham and Gage of the Boone brought the Stage to life all night while Adam Van Buren hosted the room in a ah-maze frog inspired look.

Broke House is a new group performance from Caden Manson / Big Art Group and follows a narrative about the residents of a house and their hangers-on, once a documentary filmmaker arrives to capture their lives. On a skeletal set webbed with video cameras, the characters try to recall their given roles as inevitably the foundations of their dreams collapse, and they are thrown into the desert of their own futures. Part comedy, part ritual, part love spell.

Automagic is the production team comprised of DJ Will and Bryan Wright. Their latest single “Iris” is coming out on K.I.D. Recordings and the release includes an amazing remix by Sean B (as Best Mate) in addition to excellent remixes by Juan MacLean, Allies, Bander, and Richard Morel.
To celebrate this release, SPANK DJs will be DJing at Le Bain with the other remixers, and we’d love you to join us!!

The 3rd installment of N.Y.J.L.I.P. (the periodical magical night where SPANK teams with Mr. Saturday Night and The ArtCorps) was truly awesome and we can’t wait to do it again.

It was our first experiment with wintertime “advance ticket sales only” and limited capacity (during the indoor only months): This made for a nicely packed room but with room to really dance.
